Thermo Kitty Mat has a removable heater for use as an unheated bed. The surface of this bed will remain 12 to 15 degrees above ambient air temperature and will warm to 102 degrees when in use. 6 watt dual thermostat is removable for ease in cleaning.

Why only 102°F when in use? Any warmer and your pet won't use it. 102°F is the ideal body temperature for cats and dogs. Since a pet's fur acts as an insulator, K&H products have a thermostat that senses when the unit reached this temperature and maintains it for maximum pet comfort.
